Living in Brest
The Pays de Brest area is one of Brittany's top destinations. Its glorious natural landscapes and its wild coastline are among the most beautiful in France, as is its way of life.
Here, you can enjoy the simple pleasures of life: eating local seafood, having a drink on a terrace with a view, taking a trip out to sea, enjoying concerts, festivals, shows and exhibitions, but also walking along the coastal paths, and, of course, a great big breath of fresh air!
Brest - a dynamic student city
Brest has over 24,000 students for a population of 200,000 people. That's one of the highest ratios in France. With a university, nine Grandes Écoles and research centres, Brest, also known as "la Cité du Ponant", is vibrant with student life.
Connected to Europe
Brest's international airport, provides quick flights to all major European cities. At under an hour from Paris (ten flights per day), and one hour from Brussels and London, Brest is far from isolated.
There are also eight high-speed trains (TGV) to Paris per day.
