Academic Research in the DELMA department
Academic research in the teaching department focuses on languages, pedagogy and interculturality. Teaching and research staff are involved in European and Institut Mines-Télécom projects, in line with the IMT Atlantique strategy and are strongly committed to the environmental and societal transformation, such as :
- Didalang Research lab : The work of this IMT research network deals with cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary issues. This research focuses on three areas: 1. interaction and enaction, 2. digital technology and the teaching of languages and cultures, and 3. interculturality and plurilingualism.
- Cathy Sablé, Alison Gourvès-Hayward, Aimee Johansen et Rebecca Clayton Bernard, from the DELMA team, are involved in research at the crossroads of these three themes.
-
Play2green : an Erasmus+ project combining didactic research and the development of green awareness in higher education. After a study phase led by the members of the consortium, 23 students from 4 countries were able to work on prototypes of Green Serious Games to be included in courses not dedicated to TES.
Led by Cathy Sablé for IMT Atlantique. -
EduIDT : an Erasmus+ project developing the Design Thinking method with an inclusive dimension. At the end of the project, teaching tools will be developed that can be adapted to a wide range of courses. The research focuses on inclusion in the 21st century, working on awareness of the difficulties experienced in multicultural situations (generational, international, physical differences, etc.). This project is based on research into interculturality as humanism, i.e. the emphasis on respect for human beings in all their dimensions and identities.
Led by Cathy Sablé for IMT Atlantique with the participation of 2 other DELMA members: Lotfi Lakehal-Ayat and Maud Tournery. -
Projet DECART : Supported by IMT Atlantique, the European research project DECART (Design of higher Education Curricula for Agility, Resilience & Transformations) focuses on models, methods and processes to support curriculum transformations in engineering and management training systems. The challenge is to develop the agility of future managers in the face of change (climate, digital, environmental and societal transformation, etc.) so that they can manage sustainable transformations with greater resilience and responsible leadership.
With the participation of Nathalie CHELIN from the DELMA team -
Le MOOC Carnet interculturel (Intercultural Notebook MOOC): IMT Atlantique has participated in the creation of a MOOC that helps students enhance their intercultural and international experiences. It offers a variety of intellectual and artistic tools. This MOOC takes a dynamic approach, alternating lectures, round table discussions and "lunettes" (workshops) to better understand otherness. Thanks to the notebooks they create, this MOOC aims to make students active learners.
