Environmental Campus Management - Green spaces

Limitation of soil artificialisation

With the aim of optimising space and resources, the principles of densification* and reversibility of the construction method (possibility of changing the purpose of the building thanks to a column-slab structure and prefabricated sanitary pods) are being applied to the renovation and creation of new residences at La Maisel on the Brest campus.
Acceptance planned for 2023 for the renovation of two existing residences and 2026 for the creation of 6 new residences.
* Among all the urban policies claiming to be sustainable development, densification measures have for several years been presented as one of the ways of building a city that consumes less space and resources, as allowing savings to be made in networks, and as contributing to a reduction in energy consumption linked to the movement of people.  (source Citego)
