Cencyble project, a new building on the Rennes campus
The project to construct a building called "Cencyble" comes in response to the problem of developing cyber security activities on the Rennes campus. The growth of this campus is generating increased demand for space within the premises. This is why the Cencyble building will also include classrooms, a fablab, a student living area, a large meeting room, and offices. Building work began in June 2019 and should be completed in June 2020.
The construction of this building meets the thermal regulation standards RT 2012 :
- in order to optimize energy efficiency and to avoid using an active air-conditioning system, the construction takes into account environmental impacts (exposure to sun, wind, etc.).
- with a view to reducing its energy needs and not exceeding 50 kWh/m² in annual consumption (Primary Energy Coefficient), the use of high-performance, high-efficiency energy equipment for heating, lighting and hot water production has been favored in the design of the building (solar panels feature in the project).
