Rennes campus (Maisel) - Practical information
When you arrive at the Maisel residence hall
You will need to complete your file and pay for your accommodation before being admitted to the residence hall.
The keys to your accommodation (room + mailbox) will be given to you at the reception desk of La Maisel, located on the ground floor of the SCI building, 1 rue de la Chataigneraie.
You will need to do the inventory of fixtures (état des lieux) as soon as you take possession of your accommodation. The entry inventory of fixtures form must be filled in, signed and given to the Maisel office 24 hours (working days) after taking possession of your accommodation.
Please note that this document is very important because it will be compared to the inventory of fixtures on your departure, carried out by a Maisel agent. The inventory of fixtures concerns the premises, furniture and equipment of your accommodation (condition and cleanliness). You will be charged for any damage, missing equipment and furniture, or extra cleaning required. If the resident does not show up at the contradictory inventory of fixtures on leaving the accommodation, no complaint will be taken into account in the event of a dispute on his or her part.
Payment of rent
You must pay your monthly housing charge before the 5th of each month.
The security deposit
In order to facilitate your mobility between campuses, we can keep your 300€ deposit for the duration of your studies. You can of course claim it back as soon as you leave, by sending an email to logement-rennes@imt-atlantique.fr. It will be returned to you by bank transfer to the bank account provided at the time of booking, in full and within a maximum of one month if:
- There are no differences between the initial inventory of fixtures and the final inventory of fixtures.
- All rent payments have been settled.
- The keys of the accommodation have been returned.
Leaving the Maisel
You must imperatively inform us of your exact departure date 1 month before your departure. To do so, you must send your notice by email to the following address: logement-rennes@imt-atlantique.fr.
You will then come to the reception desk to request an appointment for an inventory of fixtures which will be carried out by a Maisel agent. If you do not show up at the contradictory exit inventory of fixtures, no complaint will be taken into account.
The keys to your accommodation (room + mailbox) must be left at the Maisel reception desk when you leave campus.
Application for housing allowance (CAF)
To help you in your dealings with CAF, you will find below a complete downloadable guide (in French and English) to formalize your request. Warning: for the "HLM" studios, you have to complete an "Attestation de Loyer". However, for the "SCI" rooms with a shower, you need to complete an "Attestation de résidence en Foyer" (document also downloadable below).
