Energy Systems and Environment Department - OSE Team
The OSE team works on optimizing processes and systems, with the non-exclusive aim of improving energy efficiency. This is done by developing monitoring and control tools, and encouraging the development of new technologies.
The scientific fields in question are thermics, energy, transfer phenomena, automation and fluid mechanics applied to thermal processes and networked energy systems. The team then develops digital solutions and tools for simulating, optimizing and controlling processes and systems. Its field of activity extends to the development of sensors and prototypes to experimentally validate concepts and models. Targeted applications, which often relate to problems with spatial or temporal scales, are mainly in the agri-food (electrothermal processes, microwaves, ohmic heating, etc.), materials (polymer material processing, extrusion, injection, etc.) and energy (networked energy systems, heating networks) sectors.
