On November 21 and 22, 2024, the Interdisciplinary Department of Social Sciences (DI2S) at IMT Atlantique co-organized the annual conference of the academic association dedicated to the management of healthcare organizations, in partnership with the LEMNA Laboratory (Nantes University). The theme for the 2024 edition was "Working in Healthcare and Social Care Organizations: What Are the Contemporary Challenges?"
The 12th edition of the ARAMOS conference, held at Halle 6 Ouest on Nantes Island, explored contemporary challenges in the work of healthcare and social care organizations. This event brought together academic researchers, professionals, and students to discuss issues such as transformations in work, organizational innovation, and the impact of hospital reforms. The conference provided a platform to exchange insights on healthcare management, enriched by academic research and field studies.
The program featured thematic sessions and two highlight roundtables "Attracting and Retaining Healthcare Professionals through Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QVCT): Reflections on Various Experiments" and "Training and Supporting Professionals in Healthcare Tools and Technologies: Challenges, Issues, and Prospects".
Over the two days, researchers presented their work on diverse topics, including care pathways, crisis management, and regulatory dynamics in hospitals.
A doctoral workshop held on the final day offered PhD students constructive feedback on their ongoing research.
The 90 registered participants had the opportunity to strengthen their professional and academic networks in a stimulating environment. The best presentations will be proposed for publication in an academic journal, highlighting the conference's commitment to promoting high-quality contributions in the field of healthcare management and economics.
Together with their colleagues from IAE (University school of Management) Nantes, faculty members Bénédicte Geffroy, François Deltour, Geoffrey Leuridan and Romain Lonceint played an active role in the ARAMOS 2024 Conference organizing committee, supported by the department's two administrative assistants.
Myriam Le Goff and Maud Nezan, colleagues from DI2S at the Brest campus, presented their research on the healthcare pathways of people with disabilities. Their work was a finalist for the conference’s Best Paper
Award.
