Today, IMT Atlantique welcomes its new president, Christophe Lerouge, who was appointed by Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Recovery, the ministry responsible for the Institut Mines-Télécom.
Christophe Lerouge arrives from the Occitanie region, where he was president of the Regional Directorate of Economy, Employment, Labor and Solidarity (DREETS). He succeeds Paul Friedel, who recently retired.

Christophe Lerouge : "IMT Atlantique, with its high-level teaching and research, is prepared to take up the challenges of the 21st century. As President of this technological university, I will work together with all its teams to contribute to the regional, national and international influence of the institution as a player fully involved with companies in the digital, energy and environmental transitions."
At the head of IMT Atlantique, Christophe Lerouge will be responsible for:

the definition and implementation of the institution's strategy, in the context of the overall strategy of the Institut Mines-Télécom. He will contribute to the definition and implementation of the IMT 2030 strategy and to the institution's 2023-2028 objectives and performance contract.

strengthening IMT Atlantique's position in the regional ecosystems and in the three metropolises (Brest, Nantes and Rennes) where the three IMT Atlantique campuses are located, while reinforcing the institution's positioning on the national and international scale.
In order to carry out his missions, Mr. Lerouge will be able to rely on his solid knowledge of the activities of the Institut Mines-Télécom, his experience as a former administrator of the CEA and ADEME, and the role he played as a former government commissioner of the Industrial Technical Centres.
