The strategic partnership signed with Enedis is designed to reinforce our shared commitment to developing skills in the energy transition sector and helping our students to enter the workforce.
An already solid partnership: Enedis is a major player at IMT Atlantique. As a partner of the Valadoe Chair, the company regularly hosts our apprentice students and recruits many of the talented graduates from our classes. Career paths such as those of Lou-Anne Marre (class of 2023), Large Producer Connection Project Manager, and Clément Silbermann (class of 2024), Connection Project Manager, perfectly illustrate this strong link between our students and Enedis.

Key actions under the new framework agreement include visits to industrial facilities by our students, the organization of meetings dedicated to exchanges and networking and Enedis presentations in the institution's training courses. "This partnership is another way of looking at the company. Enedis wants to be present all along the students' career path: during their studies, introducing them to the business, opening our doors... for a work-study placement, an internship, a summer job in our call centers, and when they are looking for work," explains Nicolas Renault, Regional Director for the Pays de la Loire region, present alongside his Breton counterpart, Emmanuel Jean.

Following the signing of the Valadoe Chair, headed by Bruno Lacarrière, who is also IMT Atlantique's Deputy Director for Research and Innovation, Emmanuel Jean, Deputy Director for Brittany, and Nicolas Renault, Deputy Director for the Pays de la Loire region, immersed themselves in the laboratories of the Energy Systems and Environment Department, headed by Yves Andrès.
Sarah Herrou (class of 2012), Assistant Agency Manager, confirms: "I joined the EDF Group after taking the ‘environmental engineering’ option, and then I moved to Enedis, where I was lucky enough to be able to join more technical teams, Enedis' core business, in what we call the intervention agencies. These are very male-dominated environments, but there's a real drive to increase the number of women in the workforce, and on the management board of our agency (I work in the Vendée region), more than 50% of our agency managers are women."
