ICARET Meeting – Interculturality on an international scale

On 7 and 8 April, members of the ICARET multilingual and multicultural project met on the IMT Atlantique campus in Brest to share their progress and define future directions.

During these two days of intense collaboration, partners discussed the 661 results of a survey of students from diverse academic backgrounds who were invited to reflect on how they perceive interculturality.

These results were compared with initial analyses carried out with international professionals: how have their experiences influenced their own vision of interculturality?

In addition to this juxtaposition of perspectives, contributions were offered from a number of disciplines: diversity and inclusion in business, philosophy and didactics, translation and analysis of linguistic corpora. A resolutely cross-disciplinary approach to a better understanding of the contemporary challenges of interculturality.

📅 The next milestone in the Icaret project: the "Theories and Practices of  Interculturality" international conference, to be held from 22 to 24 April 2026 at the University of Wuppertal. Link to the call for papers: HERE
