The Times Higher Education (THE) Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025 was published for the first time this November 21, 2024, launched in association with Schmidt Science Fellows.
This new international ranking aims to reward global universities that promote interdisciplinary research to solve global challenges. As expected, IMT Atlantique is ranked in this first edition.
"We are delighted to announce that IMT Atlantique is positioned 138th in this first edition of the Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings (ISR) 2025. The work carried out since the institution's creation in 2017 pays off with each new ranking," emphasizes Christophe Lerouge, Director of IMT Atlantique.
With some 250 associate professors and 12 research departments working in the fields of digital technology, energy and the environment, IMT Atlantique has a long experience of interdisciplinarity. In-house, in France and internationally, the institution's researchers are accustomed to collaborating with specialists from other horizons. There are constant exchanges and partnerships between the physical and digital worlds, and between technology and the human and social sciences. IMT Atlantique is active on subjects as diverse as the industry of the future, cyber-security, nuclear medicine, e-health and environmental transition.
This collaborative approach, encouraged and supported by the institution, is not only paying off in the rankings, but is also giving rise to a host of original, innovative projects. Projects that are helping to shape tomorrow's society.
