IMT Atlantique is the first institution in France to be ranked in the Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings 2019 for "Industry and Innovation". This new ranking measures the success of global universities in achieving the United Nations' sustainable development goals.
IMT Atlantique is ranked in the top 300 universities in the world in terms of economic and social impact. The School is particularly well positioned on 3 of the sustainable development objectives defined by the United Nations:
- Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (62nd in the world)
- Decent Work and Economic Growth (91st in the world)
- Reduced Inequalities (101-200)
