Lucas Drumetz is an Associate Professor at the Signal & Communications department of IMT Atlantique. He has been a part of the TOMS (Processing, Observation and Statistical Methods) team of the UMR CNRS 6285 Lab-STICC since 2017.
He obtained his PhD in 2016 in image and signal processing at the Université Grenoble Alples, for works carried out at GIPSA-lab. These works have been awarded the PhD award of the University of Grenoble Alples in 2017. In 2017, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). In 2017, he was also a visiting researcher for 10 weeks at the RCAST laboratory at the University of Tokyo, Japan.
His research interests include satellite and airborne imagery (namely hyperspectral and radar altimetry data), inverse problems in remote sensing, signal processing, mathematical optimization, machine learning and sparsity-inducing techniques.
At IMT Atlantique, he is involved in courses in signal processing, machine learning and mathematics.
