Expectations for researchers and young researchers
Researchers are expected to show maturity in relation to his/her discipline, the ability to collaborate at an interdisciplinary level and international level, as well as with academic and industrial partners, and to progress in research and innovation through publication and/or innovative actions. PhD graduates will progress in organizations thanks to his or her ability to transmit knowledge, to supervise and to communicate effectively.
At the time of the thesis defence, researchers must be able to summarize and argue their thesis topic with a clear message. This will be complemented by a dissertation suited to the discipline in terms of number of pages.
Each year, around 75 PhDs graduate from IMT Atlantique.
