Fees and scholarships

The ME3+ programme offers approx. 15 scholarships per intake (i.e., 2021-23, 2022-24, 2023-2025 and 2024-2026) paid by the Erasmus Mundus program for students from Programme Countries and Partner Countries

Programme Countries: Member States of the European Union (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden) and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Republic of North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, United Kingdom1.
Partner Countries: all other countries.

1 Under the current Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF 2014-2020), the ongoing Erasmus+ programme will be implemented in relation to the UK or entities or persons established in the UK as if the UK remained a Member State, without disruption until the closure of the programme, in accordance with the provisions of the Withdrawal Agreement between the EU and the UK (https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=OJ:L:2020:029:TOC)

EU Scholarship

The ME3+ participation costs are covered by the Erasmus Mundus scholarship for the entire programme (24 months). Moreover, Erasmus Mundus scholarship holders will get subsistence, travel and installation costs as outlined below.

NOTE: Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to the scholarship holders for the EMJMD periods (study/research/placement/thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence, nor to scholarships holders from a Partner Country for the EMJMD periods exceeding one trimester (i.e. 3 months or the equivalent of 15 ECTS credits) spent in any Partner Country.

Example: An Italian student holding a scholarship for the study track 3 cannot obtain contributions to subsistence costs for semester 2, when the studies will be given at the Unibz or Unitn.

The participation costs cover health insurance, registration, examination and administrative services provided by each academic institution. 

The participation costs do not include living expenses such as food, accommodation and travels between ME3+ institutions.

* Student with following nationality: 27 Members states of the EU, countries in European Economic Area (EEA) (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein) + Switzerland, is considered as a student from European Country.

Living expenses

Living Costs are difficult to quantify precisely since they also depend on the personal lifestyle.
Therefore the following numbers of the expenses per month (in euros) should only be taken as a guideline.
