Track B: Nuclear Reactor Operation and Safety
This study track specializes in nuclear engineering applications with focus on energy production (power reactor operation) but also covers other industrial applications (particle beams technology, instrumentation, etc.). It also provides insights into a broad range of topics including Nuclear Safety, Radioprotection, Nuclear Modelling, Neutronics, Thermohydraulics, and material sciences, all of them within the same framework of safe use of nuclear installations.
Upon successful completion of the programme, a successful student is expected to be awarded a dual-degree from Lappeenranta University of Technology LUT and University of Ljubljana:
Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering
- Finnish MSc Degree delivered by LUT, corresponding to a full Master degree
- European-accredited Engineering Master Degree Programme by ASIIN e.V.
