They are wonderful ambassadors for female engineering students, for women scientists, for nuclear engineering... and - it goes without saying - for IMT Atlantique. Sophia Alleau and Giovanna Rezende are among the 100 young women worldwide selected by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to receive a Marie Sklodowska-Curie scholarship.

The RESOH "chaire"(French research consortium), hosted by IMT Atlantique, has signed a third five-year agreement with Naval Group, with the CEA as new partner. This research program deals with issues related to "safe industrial performance", especially in the field of nuclear power. Stéphanie Tillement, professor of sociology at IMT Atlantique, describes the program.

Energy, but also health: Traditionally very present in nuclear training and research with the Subatech joint research unit, IMT Atlantique is taking advantage of the renewed interest in the sector.

Abril Amaya, an Argentinian student in her 3rd year of a double-degree programme in the nuclear sector at IMT Atlantique, and her team represented France at the I4N international nuclear innovation competition at the International Youth Nuclear Congress - IYNC 2022 - in Koriyama, Japan, with the Navigatom project. Despite some tough competition, they were announced as overall winners!

On 24th November 2022, IMT Atlantique and Framatome signed a three-year partnership agreement on the Paimboeuf industrial site.

At the EDF headquarters in Paris, on Wednesday, September 7, the collaboration agreement between EDF-DPNT and CNRS-IN2P3 for the "SuperChooz" exploratory project was signed by Cedric Lewandowski, Director of the EDF Nuclear and Thermal Park, and Reynald Pain, Director of INP3, in the presence of SUBATECH Director Gines Martinez and Frederic Yermia, scientific leader of the Neutrino team.

Investigating in the nuclear sector ("Enquêter dans le nucléaire") renews the approach to a sector that is too often limited to risk, providing methodological solutions for conducting research in sensitive areas.
