Oceanix
Covering more than 70% of the Earth's surface, the oceans play an essential role in regulating the Earth's climate and for human societies.
The ocean is a system that is difficult to observe, whose biodiversity and physical phenomena we still know very little about. Artificial intelligence could be an asset in understanding this environment better. Ronan Fablet, a researcher at IMT Atlantique, presents the projects of the new Océanix Research Chair. What is the objective? To use AI to optimize models for observing the ocean.
The "OceaniX Physics-Informed AI for Observation-driven Ocean AnalytiX" and "AI-4-CHILD AI for paedriatric neurorehabilitation" programs supported by IMT Atlantique are among the 40 programs selected recently by the French National Research Agency (CNRS) to be "Research and teaching chaires (French research consortia) in artificial intelligence."
In the framework of the newly-launched AI Chair OceaniX, we are pleased to announce the venue of AI4OAC workshop (AI for Ocean-Atmosphe
