%X Although collaborative practices between cyber organizations are well documented, managing activities within these organizations is still challenging as cyber operators tasks are very demanding and usually done individually. As human factors studies in cyber environments are still difficult to perform, tools and collaborative practices are evolving slowly and training is always required to increase teamwork efficiency. Contrary to other research fields, cyber security is not harnessing yet the capabilities of Collaborative Virtual Environments (CVE) which can be used both for immersive and interactive data visualization and serious gaming for training. In order to tackle cyber security teamwork issues, we propose a 3D CVE called the 3D Cyber Common Operational Picture, which aims at taking advantage of CVE practices to enhance cyber collaborative activities. Based on four Security Operations Centers (SOCs) visits we have made in different organizations, we have designed a cyber collaborative activity model which has been used as a reference to design our 3D CyberCOP platform features, such as asymetrical collaboration, mutual awareness and roles specialization. Our approach can be adapted to several use cases, and we are currently developing a cyber incident analysis scenario based on an event-driven architecture, as a proof of concept.

%X Although Immersive Analytics solutions are now developed in order to ease data analysis, cyber security systems are still using classical graphical representations and are not harnessing yet the potential of virtual reality systems and collaborative virtual environments. 3D Col-laborative Virtual Environments (3DCVE) can be used in order to merge learning and data analysis approaches, as they can allow users to have a better understanding of a cyber situation by mediating interactions towards them and also by providing different points of view of the same data, on different scales. So we propose a 3D Cyber Common Operational Picture (3D CyberCOP) that will allow operators to face together a situation by using immersive and non immersive visualizations and by collaborating through user-defined roles. After visiting French Security Operations Centers (SOCs), we have defined a collaborative interaction model and some use-cases, to assess of the effectiveness of our solution.

%X A challenge is to develop cyber-physical system scenarios that reflect the diversity and complexity of real-life cyber-physical systems in the research questions that they address. Time-bounded collaborative events, such a hackathons, jams and sprints, are increasingly used as a means of bringing groups of individuals together , in order to explore challenges and develop solutions. This paper describes our experiences, usign a science hackathon to bring individual researchers together, in order to develop a common usecase implemented on a shared CPS testeb platform that embodies the diversity in their own security research questions. A qualitative study of the event was conducted, in order to evaluate the success of the process, with a view to improving future similar events

%X Cyber Security data analysis is an important growing domain: more and more data visualization systems are offered to operators in order to improve their threat detection performances or facilitate suspect behaviors characterization. As today Cyber Security trend is to regroup employees in structures such as Security Operations Center (SOC) or Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), collaborative approach seems to be relevant in this context. We think that 3D Collaborative Virtual Environments (3DCVE) can be used in order to improve users Cyber Situational Awareness, as they can allow them to have a better understanding of a cyber situation by mediating interactions towards them and also by providing different points of view of the same data, on different scales.

%X Data Visualization in cybersecurity uses Visual Analytics tech- niques in order to enhance user’s Situation Awareness through Common Operational Pictures. We propose in this paper a CyberCOP3D -an Immersive Collaborative COP- that will facilitate Cyber Situation Awareness. We will develop a model based on a collaborative activity analysis and a user-centered-design strategy, in order to de ne user’s personas, according through needs and usages.
%X La visualisation de données en cybersécurité fait appel aux techniques de Visual Analytics. Ces techniques permettent entre autres de favoriser la Situation Awareness, via une Common Operational Picture. L'objectif de la thèse est de proposer un CyberCOP3D, à savoir un outil collaboratif immersif favorisant la Cyber Situation Awareness. Afin de nous appuyer sur un cadre réel, nous effectue-rons une analyse de l'activité collaborative au sein de SOCs (Security Operations Center) et via un design centré utilisateur nous propose-rons des profils de personas permettant de modéliser les besoins et pratiques des différents analystes.

%X Exploring large hierarchies is still a challenging task, especially for handheld tactile devices, due to the lack of visualization space and finger's occlusion. In this paper, we propose the RICHIE (Radial In-Cremental HIerarchy Exploration) tool, a new radial widget that allows step-by-step navigation through large hierarchies. We designed it to fit handheld tactile requirements such as target reaching and space optimization. Depth exploration is made by shifting two levels of hierarchy at the same time, for reducing the screen occupation. This widget was implemented in order to adapt a Command and Control (C2) system to mobile tactile devices, as these systems require the on-screen presence of an important unit's hierarchy (the ORder of BATtle). Nevertheless, we are convinced that RICHIE could be used on several systems that require hierarchical data exploration, such as phylogenetic trees or file browsing.

%X Coordination is an essential ingredient for human-agent teamwork. It requires team members to share knowledge to establish common grounding and mutual awareness among them. This paper proposes a be-havioral architecture C 2 BDI that enhances the knowledge sharing using natural language communication between team members. Collaborative conversation protocols and resource allocation mechanism have been defined that provide proactive behavior to agents for coordination. This architecture has been applied to a real scenario in a collaborative virtual environment for learning. The solution enables users to coordinate with other team members.

%X —The coordination is an essential ingredient for the mixed human-agent teamwork. It requires team members to share knowledge to establish common grounding and mutual awareness among them. In this paper, we proposed a collaborative conversational belief-desire-intention (C 2 BDI) behavioural agent architecture that allows to enhance the knowledge sharing using natural language communication between team members. We defined collaborative conversation protocols that provide proactive behaviour to agents for the coordination between team members. Furthermore, to endow the communication capabilities to C 2 BDI agent, we described the information state based approach for the natural language processing of the utterances. We have applied the proposed architecture to a real scenario in a collaborative virtual environment for training. Our solution enables the user to coordinate with other team members.
