Collaborating with industry professionals was invaluable
After completing my bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering in Pakistan, I started my career as a Trainee Engineer at a leading construction company. My next step was pursuing a Master’s in Project Management for Environmental and Energy Engineering (PM3E), attracted by its renowned faculty and well-rounded curriculum.
Winning the Make Our Planet Great Again (MOPGA) Scholarship for my master's studies was a game-changer. It opened doors to a multicultural learning environment that significantly expanded my academic horizons and nurtured both personal and professional growth. Interacting with my fellow students in the program not only deepened my academic knowledge but also sharpened essential skills like communication and teamwork. Beyond the classroom, collaborating with industry professionals was invaluable. It provided hands-on experience and insights that are crucial in the field.
My experience in France, a happening country with numerous opportunities, further enriched my academic journey. Living in Nantes, known for its rich culture, historical significance, and strong commitment to sustainability, was a fulfilling experience that I deeply enjoyed. The city's vibrant atmosphere made it feel like home.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at IMT was the mentorship program in the third semester. It played a pivotal role in securing internships and refining my CV, interview skills, and job applications. The program equipped me with comprehensive theoretical, practical, research, and analytical skills. With this foundation, upon graduation, I confidently pursued career opportunities as a consultant for renowned firms like GHD and UNICEF, focusing on sustainability and the circular economy
